Text Editor is a free, highly customizable text and code editor extension for your Chrome browser. Built on top of the renowned CodeMirror open-source JavaScript library, this add-on offers a full-featured text editing experience.

Upon opening the add-on, you are greeted with a sidebar on the left and an empty text editor on the right. The left sidebar provides convenient file I/O buttons, allowing you to easily open files or access settings. On the right sidebar, you will find a plethora of options to customize the app according to your preferences.

One notable feature of Text Editor is its use of the new file system access API. This enables seamless opening and saving of files directly to your disk. In case your browser doesn't support this API, the extension seamlessly falls back to the downloads API, ensuring files are saved to the default download folder.

Text Editor supports three key-maps for famous text editors like Sublime, making it familiar and comfortable for users transitioning from other platforms. Additionally, it boasts support for over 100 coding languages, including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
